EVENT TIMES:

8:00 a.m. - Coaches Meeting in Rm. #31 (Coffee and doughnuts will be provided)

  • Team packets will be given out at this time.

9:00 a.m.—Field Events

ELECTRONIC ENTRY, FEES &

DEADLINES

 

All team entries should be inputted electronically into the website www.athletic.net Go to “Electronic Entry Here”.  Make sure all your information for athletes is up-to-date.  All faxed or mailed forms will be charged an additional $30.00. (Go to website for fax/email forms.)  Any questions regarding entries or fees, please contact Daron Wildermuth, Athletic Director at [email protected] or call at 775-463-6831.

 

Entry Fee is $200.00 per school or $15.00 per athlete.  An additional $30.00 will be charged for faxed or mailed forms.  ENTRY FEES ARE DUE ON OR BEFORE THE MEET.  Fees that are not paid on time will forfeit their participation in the meet.  If you are mailing your payment, please be sure you allow enough time for it to arrive by April 26, 2013!  Mailed entry fees must be received by May 1!  NO EXCEPTIONS!  Make checks payable to:  YERINGTON HIGH SCHOOL.

Entry Deadline is Friday, April 26 at 12:00.  No new entries or changes will be accepted after this time. 

ENTRY FEE:

Adults - $5.00

Youth (K-8) - $3.00

Family - $15.00

Senior Citizen - $2.00

District employee & Family - FREE

High School Students:

  • With (YHS) Student Body Card – FREE

Middle School Students:

  • With (YIS) Student Body Card - FREE

West end of the track

MINIMUM MARKS/

DISTANCES:

Boys High Jump – Start at 5’2” with a raise of 2”.

Girls High Jump – Start at 4’2” with a raise of 2”.

Boys Pole Vault – Start at 8’6” with a raise of 6”.

Girls Pole Vault – Start at 6’6” with a raise of 6”.

Boys Discus – 90’

Girls Discus – 70’

Boys Shot Put – 35’

Girls Shot Put – 25’

Boys Long Jump – 17’

Girls Long Jump – 13’

Boys Triple Jump – 32’

Girls Triple Jump – 22’

***It is the Meet Director’s option, however, to start another increment lower depending on weather conditions and entry marks.

EQUIPMENT WEIGH INS &

SPIKES:

8:00 a.m.—Shot puts and discus will be weighed at the table located behind the home team bleachers.  All equipment should be marked for identification.

8:00 a.m.—Shoe/Spike Check - 1/8 Pyramid Spikes, no needle spikes

WARM-UPS:

Warm-ups should be done outside of the track on adjoining fields.

Warm-ups for throwing events should be done in the designated competition rings. 

**A coach or official must be present during field event warm-ups.

EVENT CHECK-IN:

Athletes must report and check-in 30 minutes prior to the beginning of all events.  The athletes may leave the staging area after check-in; however they will be responsible for arriving at the event site on time.  Calls for all events will be made on the stadium PA system.  Athletes will be responsible for knowing when their event is competing.

EVENT AREA:

Coaches and non-participating athletes must stay outside all fenced, roped and flagged areas.  Athletes must vacate the infield/event area immediately after the event’s conclusion.

EVENT ENTRY LIMIT:

4 Athletes per event per school

1 Relay team per relay event per school

RULES:

2012 National Federation Track and Field rules will govern the meet.

TIMING:

Fully automatic time with Finish Lynx.  All contestants should remain in their lanes after finishing until judges have made their selections of place winners.

RESULTS:

Complete results will be available online at www.athletics.net , and in team packets that are to be picked up with awards in the announcer’s booth at the end of the meet.

AWARDS:

The first three teams in each relay event will receive medals.  Top 3 individuals in open races and field events will also medal.  Awards should be picked at the announcer’s booth after the meet by a designated coach from each school.

TEAM TENTS:

Please see designated areas.

PARKING:

No parking in emergency access areas.

RESTROOMS:

Restrooms will be available in the Vocational Building at the southwest end of the home team bleachers.

CONCESSION:

Concession will be provided by the YHS track team.
